Star-tup of the month: Discover Dodobird.ai, an autonomous chat agent for retail & e-commerce

As part of our acceleration programme, Dodbird.ai is currently gearing up for its first funding round and has achieved major milestones as far as developing its MVP is concerned. Here are some of their key milestones:  

Funding 

Dodobird.ai has created the product and has been in bootstrap for the last two years while coding with a core team of machine learning enthusiasts and software engineers. With two customers already on board, enterprise grade and entry grade tested, the AI Product Recommendation Engine is ready for the go-to-market phase. In the past few months, dodobird.ai has gathered knowledge and resources, and accessed relevant networks, while improving their pitch presentations with feedback from fellow entrepreneurs. They are now ready to begin fundraising.   

Challenges 

In the eyes of Thierry Lincoln Dodobird.ai's founder, creating new technology is the easy part. Sifting through the volumes of unused and unstructured data of clients is always a starting block to generate meaningful outputs. However, the resistance to adoption of new tech by bigger and older enterprises remains a challenge. Trusting Oracle and SAP is good, but testing and deploying startup tools should start to become mainstream, especially in a post-ChatGPT era.  

Future ambitions 

Thierry aspires to make a profound impact on the continent and the world by challenging the status quo and introducing disruptive solutions that propel businesses and communities forward. With this intent and objective in mind, Dodobird.ai’s co-founder team has been beefed up with the likes of Marc Gris who is the Head of Engineering, and Noor Sheriff, the Chief Growth Officer, to boost production capacity, marketing initiatives and scale the business to new continents. 

With a team and technology already in place, the company aims to use new sources of funding to scale up marketing efforts and expand its technology to multiple countries, as it is not limited to the Mauritian market. The goal is to position Dodobird.ai as the leader in chat recommendation experiences for retail chains and enterprise customers. 

As part of its outreach initiatives, Dodobird.ai is looking forward to partnering with franchise companies on the island to adopt its technology. This collaboration aims to leverage the franchise's extensive outreach to scale the adoption of Dodobird.ai across the region.
